Gracelyn Coggins signed her letter of intent to play soccer at Brescia University. Coggins was surrounded by her family, friends, coaches and teammates last week when she signed.
“I’m really excited,” Coggins said. “I really love Brescia and I have a good relationship with all the girls there.”
Coggins also wanted to take some time to talk about her time at Sycamore.
“The girls I’ve played with here have been really good,” Coggins said. “I love all the girls I’ve played soccer here with and I had a coach here when I started with Sheila (Gaertner) and I loved her but after transitioning to (Mat) Simon and (Taylor) McCullough, I really learned some new things and ideas that they brought with them.”
“It’s a new opportunity for me,” Coggins said about heading to Brescia to continue her career. “I get to play with girls I’ve never played with before and hopefully playing with them will help me continue to get better and I can hopefully help them get better as well. I went to a camp at Brescia and all the girls were so sweet and the coaches were really involved with me as well.”
