Brentwood Academy senior Trent McNair drives toward the basket Friday evening.

Welcome back to Main Street Preps’ Fab 15 Midstate boys basketball power rankings.

Here’s a look at how Nashville-area and Midstate teams stack up 1-15, across all classes.

1. Brentwood Academy (25-0): The Eagles should be awarded for running through the Division II-AA Middle Region unbeaten.

Last week’s record, ranking: 2-0, No. 1

Next game: Thursday vs. TBD in Middle Region tournament

2. Beech (29-0): The Buccaneers responded well after a tough overtime win at Gallatin, beating McGavock by 47 points and Hunters Lane by 27.

Last week’s record, ranking: 2-0, No. 2

Next game: Saturday vs. TBD in District 10-4A tournament

3. Cane Ridge (19-6): The Ravens got a good scare from La Vergne last week before prevailing 56-54. They responded with two double-digit wins in a three-game week.

Last week’s record, ranking: 3-0, No. 3

Next game: Friday vs. TBD in District 8-4A tournament

4. Pope Prep (20-7): The Knights reached the 20-win mark by avenging region losses to Ensworth and CPA last week, and they have not lost since Jan. 25. Triston Conger scored 31 points against CPA.

Last week’s record, ranking: 2-0, No. 5

Next game: Thursday vs. TBD in Middle Region tournament

5. Columbia (22-3): The Lions have been clutch in district play, with no win more important than a 71-64 conquest of Independence last week to lock up the 12-4A No. 1 seed. Q Martin scored 24 points in that one.

Last week’s record, ranking: 2-0, No. 6

Next game: TBD in District 12-4A tournament

6. Ensworth (21-6): There’s no shame in the Tigers’ last two losses, to No. 1 Brentwood Academy and No. 4 Pope Prep. Malik Dia’s 26 points helped Ensworth bounce back in a win at Lipscomb Academy.

Last week’s record, ranking: 1-1, No. 4

Next game: Tuesday vs. TBD in Middle Region tournament

7. Clarksville (20-2): The Wildcats first climbed into the poll because they simply kept winning, and that trend has continued. Their win streak is at 11 games. That loss to Father Ryan in December feels like ages ago.

Last week’s record, ranking: 3-0, No. 11

Next game: TBD in District 13-4A tournament

8. East Nashville (22-3): The Eagles suffered an 11-point loss to Tennessee Prep in a non-district game Saturday, which might be a good playoff tune-up. Earlier last week, senior guard Jarrod Taylor was named a Class 2A Mr. Basketball finalist.

Last week’s record, ranking: 3-1, No. 7

Next game: Friday vs. TBD in District 8-2A tournament.

9. Clarksville Academy (20-11): Big postseason wins gain bonus points, and Clarksville Academy earned enough to reach our Top 10. The Cougars beat a good Friendship Christian team, then allowed just one Goodpasture player to reach double figures in a Division II-A District 4 championship game win.

Last week’s record, ranking: 3-0, NR

Next game: Wednesday vs. Columbia Academy in Division II-A region tournament

10. Lebanon (21-5): The Blue Devils were clipped 71-70 by Oakland to end last week. Sometimes a non-district loss before the postseason can be a good thing. Will that be the case here?

Last week’s record, ranking: 1-1, No. 8

Next game: Saturday vs. TBD in District 9-4A tournament

11. Goodpasture (24-5): Freshman Jayden Jones scored 11 points in a district championship loss to Clarksville Academy. With a little more balance, the Cougars can still be a scary postseason team.

Last week’s record, ranking: 2-1, No. 10

Next game: Wednesday vs. Providence Christian in Division II-A region tournament

12. Green Hill (19-5): Wilson Central has pulled a few upsets this season, and last week it added Green Hill to its list.

Last week’s record, ranking: 1-1, No. 9

Next game: Saturday vs. Cookeville in District 9-4A tournament

13. Independence (22-6): The Eagles gave No. 4 Columbia another great game, but weren’t able to get over the hump in a big district meeting last week.

Last week’s record, ranking: 1-1, No. 12

Next game: Friday vs. Ravenwood in District 12-4A tournament

14. Ravenwood (19-8): The Raptors completed a season sweep of rival Brentwood last week. That ought to count for something.

Last week’s record, ranking: 2-0, No. 15

Next game: Tuesday vs. Centennial

15. York Institute (21-6): The Dragons have won 12 straight since losing to Cookeville on Jan. 4, which includes victories over previously ranked Clay County and Pickett County.

Last week’s record, ranking: 3-0, NR

Next game: Friday vs. TBD in District 4-2A tournament

Dropped out: MBA, Clay County

Just missed: Oakland (17-10), Franklin (22-7), Greenbrier (22-3)
