Twenty-two Middle Tennessee high school players are in the running for the 2020 Tennessee Titans Mr. Football awards.
The TSSAA announced the semifinalists on Thursday. Three finalists in each classification will be unveiled on Nov. 17 and invited to the Dec. 8 awards luncheon at Nissan Stadium, where the winner of each award will be honored.
High school head coaches and members of the media nominated players, and a committee of statewide sports writers determined the semifinalists based on performance during the 2020 regular season.
This year's awards ceremony will look different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About 100 people, including the 30 finalists, family members and coaches are expected to attend. TitansOnline.com will live stream the event.
