The Donelson Christian Academy girls basketball team defeated Mt. Juliet Christian Academy 42-33 last Friday night at home.

Sara McGlasson led DCA in scoring with 13 points. The Lady Wildcats also got scoring contributions from Anaya Dawson with nine points, Adrionna Dawson with six points, Jaylee Lopez with five points, Bailey Shepard with four points, Heather Scales and Hayley Brassard each with three points and Haley Montes with two points.

The win for the Lady Wildcats boosts their overall record to 8-9 and their district record to 4-5.

Nashville Christian School locked up the DCA girls Jan. 19 as the Lady Wildcats fell 35-19. Anaya Dawson led DCA with seven points, and Jaylee Lopez added four points.

DCA will play three-straight home games this week as they faced Clarksville Academy on Tuesday and will take on Friendship Christian on Friday and Davidson Academy on Saturday.

DCA boys take out Nashville Christian

The Donelson Christian Academy boys basketball team started off their week with a 61-55 win over Nashville Christian School.

Ben Singer had another spectacular scoring performance as he led both teams with 27 points on the evening. Singer got some help from Blake Anderson, who dropped 20 points – 14 of which came in the fourth period. Jude Charlton pitched in 10 points to help give the Wildcats their seventh win on the district schedule.

The Wildcats then took on Mt. Juliet Christian Academy last Friday night, and with a balanced scoring attack, dominated the Saints with a decisive 74-23 win.

The Wildcats had five players score in double figures as Singer led the way with 13 points. Anderson and Riley Stanton each finished with 11, Max Frazier and Drew Johnson each had 10.

Joe Sims with eight points, Charlton with six and Jon Lewis with five contributed to the DCA offensive attack, as well.

DCA improved its record to 14-3 overall and 8-2 in district play. The Wildcats played Clarksville Academy at home Tuesday and will play Friendship Christian at home Friday night.
