TSSAA regular-season volleyball games begin this week.

Here are 25 players to keep an eye on this fall. Names are listed in alphabetical order according to their school.

Dylan Sulcer (Jr., S, Brentwood): Sulcer totaled 1,102 assists and played a key role in helping Brentwood win its eighth straight Class AAA state title last season.

Ashley Miller (So., OH, Brentwood): Miller is set to take over for Alabama signee and 2020 Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year Shaye Eggleston as Brentwood’s primary outside hitter.

Meredith Moody (Sr., L, Brentwood): Moody averaged 2.4 digs per set in her first season as a full-time starter in 2020.

Brooke Spurgeon (So., OH, Central Magnet): The TSWA Class AA All-State selection burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2020, collecting 225 kills and leading Central Magnet to the state tournament.

Reese Pennington (Sr., S, East Robertson): The District 8-A MVP averaged about 30 assists and 15 digs per match last season.

Elizabeth Aylward (Jr., OH, Harpeth Hall): Despite playing just nine matches as a sophomore, the Virginia Tech commitment racked up 197 kills, averaged a 2.02 serve receive rating and finished with 26 aces.

Karly Weathers (Sr., MH, Loretto): The Alabama basketball commitment is also a star on the volleyball court. She had 577 kills and 133 total blocks for Class A runner-up Loretto in 2020.

Laney Weathers (Jr., OH, Loretto): Laney joined Karly on the Class A TSWA All-State team with 301 kills and 296 digs as a sophomore.

Davey Slaughter (Sr., OH, Mt. Juliet Christian): The Union University commitment has been an All-District performer throughout her career and finished with 245 digs, 142 kills and 37 aces last season.

Nevaeh Blanks (Sr., MH, Northeast): Blanks enjoyed a breakout junior year in 2020, producing 172 kills and 64 blocks for the Eagles.

Maggie Rickert (Jr., OH, Nolensville): Rickert was vital to Nolensville's Class AA state title effort in 2020. She finished with 380 kills, including 11 in a 3-1 win over Anderson County in the championship match.

Avery Young (Sr., OH, Nolensville): The Freed-Hardeman commitment was named the Class AA state tournament MVP in 2019 and helped the Knights repeat in 2020 with 279 kills and 189 digs.

Ellie Woods (Sr., L, Page): Woods averaged nearly five digs per set as a junior for Page last season.

Bella LePore (Jr., L, Ravenwood): LePore, a Northern Colorado commitment, has averaged 4.2 digs per set over her first two high school seasons.

Garen Haney (Sr., MH, Riverdale): The All-District 7-AAA first-teamer carried the Warriors with 218 kills in 2020.

Caroline Chesnutt (Jr., S, Rockvale): Chesnutt led Rockvale with 686 assists, 78 digs and 56 aces in 2020.

Cassidy Couch (Sr., L, Rockvale): Couch, who earned All-District honors last year, is coming off a junior season that included 412 digs and 46 aces.

Brooke Gilleland (Sr., OH, Siegel): The Belmont commitment led Class AAA runner-up Siegel with 342 kills last season.

Elena Hansen (Jr., MH, Siegel): Hansen’s 203 kills and 45 total blocks were also key to helping Siegel to a 34-8 record.

Renee Keck (Sr., OH, Station Camp): Keck produced 278 digs, 246 kills and 60 aces in Station Camp’s run to the Class AAA state tournament last season.

Katie Burdette (Sr., MH, Summertown): Burdette, the Class A tournament MVP in 2019, is back to try to lead the Eagles to a third straight state championship.

Riley Golias (Sr., S, Summit): Golias averaged 8.1 assists per set and totaled 165 digs and 51 aces in 2020.

Morgan Brown (Sr., OH, Watertown): The 2020 TSWA All-State selection was one of several key players who helped Watertown reach the Class A state tournament last season.

Megan Thompson (Sr., L, White House): Thompson totaled 246 digs and 25 aces with a 97% serving percentage to lead White House last season.

Mackenzie Geer (Sr., S, White House Heritage): The versatile setter/hitter provided 494 assists, 175 kills, 58 aces and 35 blocks for the Patriots in 2020.
