The Dickson Post has chosen the 2019 All-Dickson County football team and named Creek Wood running back Danny Stansberry the Most Valuable Player.

Stansberry finished the season with 1,602 yards and 20 touchdowns on 201 carries and won the Region 5-4A Offensive Player of the Year. Stansberry also had two catches for 19 yards and a touchdown. Highlights from Stansberry’s senior year include a 99-yard touchdown run at Harpeth while also being named to the 2019 Tennessee Football Coaches Association (TnFCA) Class 4A All-State team. 

Creek Wood’s Houston Thiel has been named the Coach of the Year after leading his team to a 9-3 record. Thiel’s Red Hawks bested Dickson County 17-0 in the first game of the season. Thiel also led Creek Wood to its first playoff win since he served as the team’s quarterback in 2005. Creek Wood defeated Jackson North Side 21-14 in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs.
