Dickson County basketball teams hosted Fairview last week on Monday night. The Lady Cougars were able to get out ahead quickly and defeat the Lady Yellow Jackets 67-36.
Anna Claire Milam led the way with 21 points as Karleigh Stevenson scored 19, while Senior Jenna Russell added 12 points as well.
“We had a slow start but an excellent third quarter,” Dickson County Lady Cougars’ coach Erin Webb said. “Everyone got in the game and it was a solid win for us against a scrappy, quick team.”
Milam and Russell each finished with four assists as Stevenson led the team with eight rebounds.
The Cougars didn’t have as much success against Fairview as the Yellow Jackets won 78-64.
Josh Cope led Dickson with 16 points as Graham Peeler and Malakhi Redman each scored 12 points and eight different players scored for Dickson County.
Dickson is scheduled to hit the road on Tuesday this week as they will head to Northeast. Dickson is set to be back at home on Friday when West Creek comes to town.
