Dickson, Creek Wood split bowling matchups

Dickson County and Creek Wood have faced off twice in the past two weeks on the bowling lanes with the same result in both contests.

Dickson County’s boys have come out on top twice while Creek Wood’s girls have returned the favor and won both matchups as well.

In the first contest two weeks ago on Monday, November 8, Dickson County won the boys game by a score of 17-6. Alex Madden (212), Garrett Wannamaker (234), Hayden Tidwell (239), Aiden Rymer (224) and Alex Singleton (202) all pushed Dickson out to a large lead after the first game while Luke Turpin (227) and Landon Spicer (220) did all they could for Creek Wood to stay close.

In the Baker format games, Dickson took three out of the five games with scores of 163, 215, 174, 214 and 202. Creek Wood scored 173, 162, 181, 180 and 198 throughout those games.

In the girls contest for the first matchup, Creek Wood got the win by a score of 19-4. Gabi Mann led Creek Wood with a 188 while Lauren Broom added a 185. Morgan Malone (161) and Emily Petty (150) were the high scores for Dickson.

Creek Wood won four of the five Baker format games with scores of 191, 169, 186, 124 and 124. Dickson scored 127, 99, 90, 139 and 122.

In the second matchup, it was a bit closer for the boys’ game while the girls’ game was much of the same as the first contest.

Dickson County’s boys defeated Creek Wood 13-10. Aiden Rymer led Dickson with a 211 while Jackson Parker added a 201. Creek Wood was led by Landon Spicer (214) and Wyatt Daniel (185).

Creek Wood won three of the five Baker format games with scores of 172, 175, 148, 140 and 202. Dickson County only needed to win two of the Baker games but that’s exactly what they did. Their scores in the Baker format games were 164, 163, 216, 149 and 142.

The Lady Red Hawks defeated Dickson County 21-2 in their second matchup as Gabi Mann led Creek Wood with a 216 and Kennedy Taylor added a 195. Emily Petty led Dickson with a 138. Creek Wood won four of the five Baker games with scores of 165, 193, 116, 169 and 111. Dickson’s scores were 117, 118, 115, 85 and 133.
