Clinton Shrader has been named the 2021 All-County Player of the Year by the Dickson Post. Shrader led the county with six home runs and 33 runs batted in. Shrader finished the season with a .301 batting average and a .402 on-base percentage while scoring 35 runs. Shrader was a middle-of-the-order bat with his production but also played shortstop on defense. Shrader helped lead Dickson to a 25-17 record this past season.
Shrader, also Dickson County’s leading rusher on the football team from a season ago, also holds a 3.94 GPA. Shrader was named to the All-Region team last year in football and has been named to the all-district team this season in baseball.
Creek Wood’s Aaron McCoy has been named Pitcher of the Year after picking up 73 strikeouts in just 43.1 innings. McCoy averaged over 15 strikeouts per nine innings.
Dickson County’s Eli Potter, who caught some consideration for Player of the Year, has been named Freshman of the Year. Potter’s .354 batting average and .434 on-base percentage led Dickson County. Potter also knocked in 17 runs while scoring 25 runs of his own.

Riley Ward, Dickson County – .304 batting average, .390 on-base percentage, 22 runs batted in, eight innings pitched, 13 strikeouts, 1.75 earned run average
