All-District 12-4A softball

Independence junior Ryan Brown was named District 12-4A Offensive Player of the Year, as the league recognized its standouts during this week's tournament.

The all-District 12-4A softball teams and superlative awards were announced earlier this week.

Top honors went to Independence's Ryan Brown (Offensive Player of the Year), Columbia Central's Saviya Morgan (Defensive Player of the Year), Summit's Lily Kate Richards (Pitcher of the Year), Nolensville's Jaycee Bilbrey and Summit's Saniya Hunter (Rookies of the Year) and Nolensville's Rylan Smith (Most Valuable Player).

First-team all-district selections were:

Bailey Lovell, Addison Maurer (Columbia Central); Jayla Miller, Leah Oubre, Briley Waechter (Independence); Paige Dickinson, Sydney Dickinson, Addi Leichty, Kendra McNiel, Lauren Ryan (Nolensville); Linley Pittman (Ravenwood); Ashlyn Easley, Haley Montgomery, Anne Marie Richards, Tarek Scherr (Summit).

Second-team all-district selections were:

Kiraonte Buchanan (Columbia Central); Angelina Ciaramitaro (Independence); Savannah Maynard (Nolensville); Taylor Webb (Ravenwood); Aubrey Brackett (Summit).
