The Philadelphia Eagles selected the former Oakland star and LSU linebacker in the sixth round at 224th overall in the NFL Draft on Saturday.

Stevens was considered the nation’s top safety coming out of Oakland and the No. 2 overall recruit in Tennessee in the 2017 class, per 247sports. He tallied 61 tackles and nine interceptions as a senior when the Patriots were Class 6A state runners-up.

He was a three-year starter in LSU’s secondary and led the team last fall with 63 tackles. In 2019, he was second with 92 tackles and five sacks for the Tigers’ national championship team.

He had a career-high 14 tackles against Arkansas as a sophomore.
