WH Heritage volleyball continues strong district play

The White House Heritage volleyball team continued its strong showing in District 11-AA play Tuesday.

The Lady Patriots beat visiting Greenbrier in straight sets, 25-23, 25-12 and 25-12.

Heritage improved its district record to 4-1. Its lone loss was a 3-1 defeat at defending Class AA state champion Portland Sept. 12.

Junior Ashleigh Shores led the way with 22 kills. She also finished with eight digs and one ace.

Senior Olivia Risden contributed seven kills, while Sonya Banker had four and MC Abell had three. Setter Mackenzie Geer accounted for 34 of the team’s 37 assists. She also had two aces.

The Lady Patriots were set to host Springfield on Thursday, Sept. 19, before participating in the WillCo Tournament in Franklin over the weekend.
