In conjunction with Main Street Preps, the Gallatin News, Hendersonville Standard and Portland Sun announces its 2022 Sumner County superlative awards and All-County tennis team, recognizing outstanding performances from the season.
Merrol Hyde sophomore Tobias Mandeville is named boys Player of the Year while White House senior Lauryn Ramirez is named girls Player of the Year.
Boys doubles Team of the Year is awarded to Grant Koch and Eric Popa of Merrol Hyde and girls doubles Team or the Year is given to Lauryn Ramirez and Sophia Ramirez of White House.
Boys Team of the Year is awarded to Merrol Hyde and girls Team of the Year is awarded to White House High School.
The Hawks capped the 2022 school year with their second consecutive Class A Boys State Championship while the Lady Devils finished the season as District 11 champions, Region 6 champions and Section 3 runner-up.
The All-Sumner County tennis teams are selected based on nominations received from Sumner County coaches. Not all schools submitted nominations for the All-Sumner County team.
