Sumner County bowlers just miss cut for individual state championships

SMYRNA – No Sumner County bowlers qualified for the individual state championships on Thursday at the TSSAA state tournament. 

Beech’s Seth Hesson just missed the cut for the top 24 boys in Division I, falling just five pins short of advancing to the boys semifinals. Hesson averaged 189.3 through four games with scores of 147, 217, 200 and 193.  Station Camp’s Alex Craddock finished 35th, averaging 176.8 through four games with scores of 166, 200, 202 and 139. 

In Division II, JPII’s Quinn Collins was the highest boys finisher taking 18thplace. Collins averaged 164 with scores of 150, 168, 179 and 159. On the girls side, JPII’s Sam Aldrich finished in 13thplace with a 145.5 average. She had scores of 206, 135, 114 and 127. Reilly Aldrich finished one spot behind her in 14thplace, averaging 141.8 with scores of 139, 137, 165 and 126.
