Brentwood's Donovan Janicek (left) and Georgia Fischer were named the Main Street Preps Boys and Girls tennis Players of the Year in Williamson County

After dominating the state championships at Spring Fling, Brentwood High School was well-represented on the Main Street Preps All-Williamson County tennis team.

Donovan Janicek was named the Boys Player of the Year after winning a Large Class state singles title over Central Magnet’s Nathan Zou. 

Georgia Fischer was named the Girls Player of the Year, winning her fourth straight state doubles championship.

Boys All-County team:

Donovan Janicek, Brentwood – Boys Player of the Year

Accomplishments: Won the Large Class state singles championship, beating Central Magnet's Nathan Zou. Janicek is the No. 8-ranked player in the state in the Class of 2021 according to TennisRecruiting.net

 

Nathan Irwin, CPA

Accomplishments: Finished as the Division II-A state singles runner-up, falling to Walker Stearns. Irwin is the No. 5-ranked player in the state in the Class of 2021 according to TennisRecruiting.net

 

Jackson Stone, Ravenwood

Accomplishments: Finished as the Large Class state runner-up in the doubles tournament, falling to state champions Hagan Oakley and David Bieger 6-4, 6-4

 

Ethan Eisenhauer, Ravenwood

Accomplishments: Finished as the Large Class state runner-up in the doubles tournament, falling to state champions Hagan Oakley and David Bieger 6-4, 6-4

 

Jackson Vaughan, Nolensville

Accomplishments: Vaughan is the No. 8-ranked player in the Class of 2020 from Tennessee by TennisRecruiting.net and he was Nolensville's best player

 

Girls All-County team:

Georgia Fischer, Brentwood – Girls Player of the Year

Accomplishments: The Wofford signee was part of the Large Class doubles state championship, her fourth straight. She is the No. 2 prospect in the state according to TennisRecruiting.net for the Class of 2019.

 

Hamsa Javagal, Brentwood

Accomplishments: Won the Large Class state singles title, beating Collierville's Romane Britt. She is the No. 1-ranked player in Tennessee the Class of 2021 according to TennisRecruiting.net

 

Lisa Messier, Franklin

Accomplishments: Messier is the No. 4-ranked player in Tennessee in the Class of 2022 according to TennisRecruiting.net

 

Reagan DeSoto, BGA

Accomplishments: DeSoto was the No. 3 seed in the DII-A Middle Region, reaching the state quarterfinals

 

Alex Torre, Brentwood

Accomplishments: Won the Large Class doubles state championship with partner Georgia Fischer
