Rockvale gave up four straight touchdowns to Clarksville, which rode the offensive explosion to a 49-28 home victory Friday night.
The Rockets fell to 1-3 on the season, while Clarksville improved to 1-1.
"Watching them on field, I knew it was going to be a bad matchup for our defense and that's what it turned in to," Rockvale coach Rick Rice said. "They had some really fast kids who can run fast, and they're quarterback did a good job getting the ball in space."
Rockvale's LaMarcus Nelson (two touchdowns) and Logan Nawacki and Grayson Smith accounted for Rockvale's four scores.
"Offensively, we couldn't have asked for more," Rice said. "I just wish we could put it all together. Give them credit, they were ready to play. We didn't have one of our better weeks of practice and that kind of amplified things when we got to Clarksville."
The Rockets return to region play this Friday when they play host to Riverdale.
