Lady Tigers eliminated -

COOKEVILLE -- Kristin Shoulders poured in 24 points to lead Smith County's Lady Owls to a 57-52 victory over Watertown in Monday's opening round of the District 8-AA basketball tournament at Hooper Eblen Center.

Shoulders was a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc as Smith County advances in tournament play with a record of 8-17.

Brittni Allison knocked down three 3-pointers and paced the Lady Tigers with 21 points. Saranda Woodson had 14 and Ashlea Dickens finished with 13.

Delanney Hight and Daejah Maklary rounded out the WHS scoring with two points apiece.

Watertown's season came to a close with a record of 8-17.

BOYS -- Watertown's boys will play Macon County in an 8 p.m. game Tuesday at the Hooper Eblen Center.
