NASHVILLE -- The Mt. Juliet Bears Hockey Club moved to 10-0-1 on the season following a 2-1 victory over the Brentwood Bruins Monday, Nov. 23 at Centennial Sportsplex.

The game was scoreless until 1:45 into the 2nd period when team captain Michael Settle found the back of the net. Earning assists were Logan Baskin and Shaun Caffrey.

MJ added insurance as Easton Krenzke buried his own rebound at the 2:23 mark in the third period. Earning an assist on the feed was Jacob Winfree.

Brentwood ruined the shutout with 0:21 left to play. Goalie Robbie Simonek earned the win for Mt. Juliet, turning away 19 of the 20 shots he faced.

With the win, the Ice Bears hold onto first place in GNASH and are scheduled to take on JP2/MLK/CPA Friday, Dec. 4 MBA December 7th at the Bellevue Ford Ice Center.

NOTE -- The team is comprised of athletes from Mt. Juliet, Green Hill and Lebanon High schools and compete in the Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey Association.
