Dress rehearsals for Aug. 23 —

Preseason work comes to a close this weekend as all six Wilson County football teams will participate in jamboree scrimmages.

Wilson Central will be on the road Friday, Aug. 16 taking the ninth graders, junior varsity and varsity to Shelbyville Central for two quarters each of live work.

Lebanon will host Cookeville at Tribble Field / Watkins Stadium with the same format, two 15-minute periods of running clock for the 9th graders and JV, while the varsity is looking a two 20-minute periods.

Action starts at 6 p.m. Advance admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Friendship Christian is set to entertain Franklin Road Academy Friday at Pirtle Field while Mt. Juliet Christian Academy takes on Hillsboro Friday at McGavock in the Metro Jamboree.

Watertown High will travel to Carthage Friday to take on host Smith County in a jamboree.

Mt. Juliet High welcomes Beech High to Elzie Patton Stadium for the fifth annual Bears / Bucs Bash Saturday, Aug. 17.

Ninth grade action starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by the junior varsity at 7:15.

The two varsity squads will mix it up at 8 p.m.

Junior pro and middle school scrimmages are scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m.
