Middle Tennessee Christian School's Hillary Hodges has resigned her post as the head girls' basketball coach.

MTCS is coming off a 16-7 season and a trip to the region tournament. The Lady Cougars also return a wealth of talent and figure to be a contender in Division II-A next season.

"I enjoyed working under coach (Jason) Piercey (also the school's athletic director) and working the the young ladies," Hodges said. "I was able to work with some great kids and people. I loved getting them to a new level and look forward to what they can do in the future.

"I hope and pray they'll carry over some of the things I taught them and continue to try and push hard with the talent and abilities they have. The sky is the limit. I'm excited to give my family the best. My two children are going to get the best of me. I teach on the elementary side, but I haven't made the decision if I will be here next year."

MTCS will return four starters next season, including all-district performers Sydney Cooper, Bre'Aria Cannon and Sarah Wisniowski

Piercey also resigned as the school's boys' coach recent to devote more time to his family and role as athletic director.
