6 pm at Clarksville High –

Wilson Central’s wrestling team, now 28-4 in dual competition and ranked No. 2 in the state, will be in action tonight (Jan. 24) in Regional Duals, set for 6 p.m. at Clarksville High School.

Saturday at Knox Halls

KNOXVILLE — Wilson Central’s wrestlers earned second place honors Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Vandergriff Invitational, hosted by Halls High School.

Christian Brothers won the tournament with 260 points, the Wildcats earned 216.5 with Franklin Page earning third place at 101 points.

Five Wilson Central grapplers won their respective weight divisions, including:

Hunter Borders at 113;

Steven Fisak at 126;

Alex Pergande at 152;

Levi Stone at 160 and

Michael Kramer at 285.

Grant Fetters (120 pounds) and Cole Fort (138) lost in their respective finals.

Michael Mercante finished third at 106 and Cullen Belcher earned fourth place at 145 pounds.

Sixth place honors went to Brady Jarvis (170 pounds) and Jesse Richardson (220).

T.H. Oakley earned eight place at 132.

Kramer earned Most Outstanding Wrestler for the fourth time this season.
