PLEASANT VIEW — Five War Eagles scored in double figures to help the Sycamore boys beat Westmoreland 84-57 on Senior Night.

Dalton Dutton and Daniel Saylor scored 15 apiece, and Dawson Yoes (14 points), Bailey Chapman (14) and Trevor Gagnon (12) all added to the rout. The starting lineup included all four seniors. Dutton, Yoes, Jacob Bone and Trevor Gagnon were the four seniors who were honored during the break between the two games.

Sycamore led 17-10 at the end of the first quarter and scored 33 points in the second quarter.

“Offensively we played well, making a lot of shots,” Sycamore coach Toby Miles said. “Defensively though, there were times when we were going through the motions and not playing as hard on defense as we do on offense. Playing tough defense the entire game is still a work in progress for us and we’ll get there with more practices as we lead into tournament play.”

Kaitlynn Wofford and Taylor Garrett, the only two players honored on Senior Night for Sycamore, both scored in double figures, but Westmoreland pulled away in the fourth quarter to win.

Sycamore led by one point after three quarters, but were outscored 16-8 in the fourth quarter.
